The Lodge is the core of our treatment program, providing relapse treatment for adult men seeking freedom from drug and alcohol addiction in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. The Lodge is clinical multi-modal with integrated mental heath and chemical dependency programing combined with a robust sober community providing our patients with time to heal from drug and alcohol addiction, and apply the tools of sobriety in their daily lives. Engaging in fun and challenging physical activity on a daily basis is a vital part of Jaywalker. Getting out in the mountains helps us look at life from a different angle, and contributes in so many ways to our work on personal growth and sobriety. Jaywalker Lodge simply believes that effective long term drug and alcohol treatment needs to embrace the promises of our future in recovery and not the consequences of our past in addiction.
Every Jaywalker's week includes individual sessions with addiction clinicians, spiritual care staff, fitness/wellness specialists , and mental health care professionals. Group therapy, lectures, and expeditions are also a significant part of daily routine. *Program adjustments have been made during COVID that affect community access. Please call to discuss with our admissions team.

The impact of drugs and alcohol in all areas of our clients’ lives is personalized daily through written “Step One Sections,” an emphasis on the basic texts of Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous; as well as dedicated groups and didactic lectures. Our clients examine closely the effect chemical dependency has had on family, social life and friends, work and school, legal, financial, spiritual, character, health, sex and relationships, and feelings and emotions. Our goal is that no Jaywalker client will have any reservations or “lurking notions” about the extent to which his relationship with drugs and alcohol has impacted his life.
Clients begin to recognize and challenge obstacles that stand in the way of establishing and maintaining meaningful relationships with self, others, and a higher power. (Step Two) Obstacles include (but are not limited to) shame, resentment, anger, self-pity, grandiosity, arrogance, grief and loneliness. Dual diagnoses and mental health issues are medically managed by our consulting psychiatrist – and these too are addressed as “obstacles” via hands-on application to The 12-Steps principals. Our peer-directed culture creates an environment in which clients come to embrace a “common solution” to our “common problem.”
