Jaywalker Lodge is about recovery. Our everyday focus is helping men who struggle with maintaining recovery find their way to lasting sobriety and happy new lives. We base all of what we do firmly on the 12-Step program of recovery. We have a thriving alumni community that remains active members of the Jaywalker family. We have a program for every man at every stage of his recovery. Wherever the road of destiny takes you, we’ll be there for you, and we’ll do everything we can to make sure you’re prepared for whatever comes your way.

The Jaywalker experience begins at the Landing, where you receive a proper welcome. You learn about us, we learn about you, and we all get excited for the healing and joy that you’ll experience in your new life in recovery. Next comes the Lodge, where we really get into the swing of things. Here we’ll do it all: meetings, nature expeditions, 1st-Step work, being of service to others, integrating into the Jaywalker recovery community, and beginning the healing process in the personalized therapy we planned out at the Landing. This is just a quick rundown — there’s so much more.

From the Lodge, there are two more stops on our Jaywalker journey. The Jaywalker Solutions program is next for those who are highly motivated to keep working for their recovery. The last stop is our Integrated Outpatient Program (IOP), which is coupled with our very own Sober Living program. Keep reading to learn more about these last destinations on the Jaywalker tour.

The Solutions Program at Jaywalker

The Solutions program is the next step up from the Lodge. Things get a little more independent and a little more open to the specific needs of each individual. It’s a 90-day commitment for those who are ready to take responsibility for their recovery. The Solutions program reminds us that our recovery has a lot to do with making a positive difference in our lives. However, it’s really about letting our recovery change our lives so that we can make a difference in the lives of others.

There is still structure, and there are still engaging weekly activities like equine therapy, meditation, martial arts, yoga, and of course, skiing. But let’s not forget why we are here — recovery is still our foundation, and each man is encouraged to begin practicing personal accountability for their recovery. Getting involved and engaged with the 12-Step recovery community is absolutely crucial at this stage. This includes things like Big Book studies, working with a sponsor, and meetings.

This is also where we’ll encourage and support you as you re-enter the workplace or the academic world, or even both if you want! We’re still going to be there to help, and we’ll work together to set achievable and fulfilling goals. We’re going to help you write your ideal life plan and be there to support you as it gets off the ground. Wherever you plan to go in your recovery, we want to do what it takes together to make this new beginning the strongest one possible.

This is also where service comes into the picture. Our lives are full and successful to the degree that we help others. Being of service to the community at large and the individuals within it can profoundly affect our lives and the world around us. At Solutions, we dig into that, and our lives get better and better the more we do for others.

We want you to feel strong and stable as you transition from life at Jaywalker to life around Jaywalker and eventually step outside our yard entirely into your own beautiful life in recovery. From here, you can go to Jaywalker Sober Living while you attend IOP, but we hope you will come back for alumni meetings and dinners. Don’t make us miss you for too long!

IOP and Sober Living

IOP is a 90-day program that aims to more thoroughly support Jaywalkers who are just leaving Solutions or who are struggling with recovery after being gone for some time. We do two group therapy sessions and one individual therapy session every week and schedule outdoor expeditions every month as well.

IOP is the final step in the process of transitioning to a life in recovery, but we don’t want you to just leave the nest without knowing that you’re still safe and supported. You will spend most of your time living your new, recovery-centered life but still get to spend some regular time with us. We believe in relapse prevention at Jaywalker Lodge, and IOP focuses heavily on that. We want you to go to other recovery meetings and to work with a sponsor, just like we always do because you’ll need those two things for the rest of your life.

Of course, we also encourage you to get involved with all the Jaywalker alumni activities, like dinners, alumni meetings, and community service events. At Jaywalker Lodge, we want to do everything we possibly can to help you begin your recovery on the firmest of foundations, so you can follow your dreams and make the world a better place with your recovery.

Isolation is deeply intertwined with the disease of alcoholism and addiction. Whether it exacerbates the problem or arises as a symptom of it, the two are rarely far apart. Recovery means the end of loneliness. Jaywalker Lodge is firmly rooted in the 12-Step program, which comes with a built-in community of support. After all, it is nearly impossible for us alcoholics and addicts to find recovery on our own. Jaywalker loves the recovery community so much that we made our own. We have a thriving community of Jaywalker alumni, and most people who come to the Lodge don’t go far after leaving it. They remain close, coming back for meetings, community service events, weekly dinners, nature expeditions, and more. But this community is more than just a great group of guys — it’s crucial to the recovery and quality of life for everyone involved. We believe that recovery is for everyone, and we want you to be a part of our Jaywalker family. Call us now at (866) 529-9255.
