Sunday Shred Day

All of our alumni love to shred so why not set aside a day to do it together. The tradition of Sunday Shred Day is alive and well. Sunday Shred Day is a new routine that is quickly gaining traction in our alumni community. We start every Sunday out with an option to go to […]

4 Feet

After a near record setting drought in January and most of February, most of us thought winter was over. Mother nature reminded us that winter was in fact alive and well by dropping four feet of snow on us in the last 7 days. Happy Shredding! Jaywalker Ski Season

The first big snow storm has hit our area and that can only mean one thing. It’s ski and snowboard season! Mountain based expeditions in the Aspen Mountains are an integral component of all the Jaywalker’s programs. Our clients are challenged to improve not only mentally and spiritually but, physically, as well.  Here is a […]

Chester Turns 4

I first met Chester the day that he walked into Jaywalker Lodge. I was a client at the time and immediately sized up the new kid. Just another Texas boy out of his element in the Rocky Mountains was my initial assessment. The next week I found myself skiing with Chester at Snowmass. I wanted […]

Jaywalker Lodge is pleased to welcome the men of Gaston House, Sober Living in Dallas, Texas to The Roaring Fork Valley for a day of shredding and fellowship. We will meet up with the Gaston House boys on Monday Morning at Snowmass, where a group of our Alumni will serve as local guides for skiers […]

JWU Ski Day

As the school week comes to an end, the Jaywalker U students hit the slopes. After a stressful last week of school before finals it was time to have some fun. It was a good reminder that in order to have fun we must work hard. For many of the students this will be their […]

Mostly epic and high of 7

Temperatures hovered in the single digits under a bright cold sky, but our spirits were soaring atop a foot of fresh powder at Snowmass Mountain today. Jaywalker alumni, staff and friends rallied at the top of Big Burn for a few carefree turns together following 24 hours of steady snow dumps in the Western Rockies. […]

Opening Day

This weekend Aspen Snowmass ski area opened with over 600 acres of ski-able terrain and several inches of fresh snow that had accumulated consistently during the week leading up to the much-anticipated event. We were in the lift line 45 minutes before the first lift started spinning. That was ample time to whip out the […]

It’s SNOW time

When it’s time to play, the Rocky Mountains teach us the value of “serious fun” and what it really means to “live in the moment.” Jaywalkers proximity to some of the worlds greatest skiing and snowboarding is one of the primary reasons I chose to undertake treatment in the Roaring Fork Valley. I may have […]
