Inventive chefs and artists lend flair to a low-key ranching town that mirrors Aspen’s good looks – without the sticker shock.”
Kelly Bastone, Sunset Magazine
Those of us who have spent any time in the beautiful mountain town of Carbondale know that we definitely live in a special place. Thanks to a two-page spread in the June issue of Sunset magazine about a million more people know about our Rocky Mountain paradise. Author, Kelly Bastone describes a ” perfect day in Carbondale, CO ” in her recent article. She mentions the incredible arts community, the culinary delights, unique retail, and picturesque lodging with hot springs. I can’t argue with her description of a perfect day in Bonedale but, the amenities she lists barely scratch the surface to the Arts, outdoors, and lifestyle we enjoy in our beautiful town.
Now that the snow has melted and Chaco sandals and tank tops are the daily uniform… the fun begins. Camping, fishing, biking, hiking, and rafting are just a few of the amazing summer activities we enjoy. Our Jaywalker Men just returned from a camping trip to Twin Lakes and a visit to Mission Wolf, a wolf sanctuary in southwest Colorado. One important fact the author failed to mention was the unparalleled recovery community here in Carbondale. We are fortunate to live in a community that embraces Jaywalker Lodge and the transformational work that transpires. Actually, thanks to the gift of sobriety, every day is a perfect day in our mountain paradise.
