Study Abroad in South Africa

On May 16th Jaywalker U alum, Danny S, will be participating in Colorado Mountain Colleges Study Abroad trip to South Africa. Students will experience the politics, culture and society of South Africa while earning transferable credits in sociology and anthropology. The students will travel to places such as Johannesburg, Cape Town, Soweto, the South African Parliament and local universities and schools.  They will also meet with ANC officials, human rights organizations, local and multinational businesses,and U.S. Embassy staff

Danny was one of Jaywalker U’s first students and is well on his way to obtaining his degree. Danny is a prime example of what Jaywalker Lodge and Jaywalker U can do for us. He spends his days sponsoring other alcoholics/addicts, attending class, working, and having fun. Nice work Danny and we hope you have a great time in South Africa!

Stefan Bate, MA, LAC, CCTP Chief Clinical Officer

Stefan Bate, BA, MA, LAC holds a Master's Degree in Applied Psychology from Regis University and is a Licensed Addiction Counselor in the state of Colorado. Stefan has wide-ranging experience in the field of addiction recovery including: working as a recovery coach, therapist, and program director.
