Whenever I slip into self-will and begin to question the existence of of God, Creative Intelligence, Spirt of Nature, or whatever my understanding of my Higher Power, I merely need glance up at the night sky…instantly any delusion that there isn’t a power greater than myself is shattered. Although I might not be able to elucidate my vision of exactly what my Higher Power is, one thing is certain…It’s definitely not me! The sheer beauty and expansiveness of the universe help me become right- sized and willing to continue to seek The Spirit of the Universe and fully embrace a life based on the principles of the 12 Steps. The interconnectedness of this web of life we call our universe is a foundation on which my spiritual principles rest. I will get the opportunity to more fully appreciate the vastness and beauty of the universe next week as the Carbondale branch library hosts an astronomy program.
“Garfield County libraries presents an exciting program about the universe, stars, and other celestial wonders.
