Last Friday, the Jaywalker Lodge operations team had the opportunity to step out of the office to work on team building at Colorado Mountain College’s Spring Valley campus high ropes course. Guided by Johann Aberger – a mountaineer, life coach, and adjunct professor, we spent half the day learning about how our team functioned in unfamiliar territory. Johann was quick to identify our strengths and weaknesses as he watched us maneuver through a series of low ropes courses as a group. After a bit of reflection, we were ready to take what we had learned to the high ropes course. Identifying challenges and working towards a common goal as a team, we all successfully navigated the course. It was a fun and challenging day that helped each one of us identify our strengths and weaknesses, and with our new found knowledge we can create an even stronger operations team.
