Several of the Jaywalker men had the opportunity to be of service and learn more about the diversity of activities that are the essence of Carbondale. A dozen of our clients volunteered to assist in the set-up and take-down of alternative health care practitioner and vendor booths as part of the first annual Lovin’ Yourself Fest, held this past Saturday at the Third Street Center,
which is also home to the Jaywalker Outpatient Treatment Program. Our guys had the opportunity to learn about everything from Essential Oil Therapy to Tibetan Reiki. In addition, our men had the opportunity to listen in on the soundcheck and talk to members of the Luminaries, a service orientated, sober Hip Hop band from Venice, CA. We are truly fortunate to live in such a cultivated community which truly has something for everyone.
