Join us for a day dedicated to deepening your experience and personal understanding of the 11th step. The retreat will include group discussion, instruction and practice in sitting meditation, as well as talks and discussion explaining the basics of mindfulness as a universal tool to enhance your ability to integrate the 12 steps into all aspects of your life. The retreat will be facilitated John Bruna.
John Bruna enjoys 29 years of recovery, is a counselor, educator, spiritual teacher, and former Buddhist monk. He leads workshops and retreats throughout North America. Currently he is the director of the Way of Compassion Foundation and co-founder of the Mindful Life Program.
Several Jaywalker clients and Alumni have been attending weekly Mindfulness groups and instruction by John and have found him a very relatable teacher who speaks the language of recovery. He has helped demystify meditation and show us accessible and practical ways to incorporate a Mindfulness practice into our daily routines.
