CCYPAA is the Colorado Conference of Young People in Alcoholics Anonymous. The purpose of CCYPAA is to carry the message of Alcoholics Anonymous within the young community of Colorado by hosting an annual conference. CCYPAA provides individuals the opportunity to come together in celebration and share their experience, strength, and hope with each other. CCYPAA operates in the spirit of the three legacies of AA: Recovery, Unity, and Service.
This year’s event is being held in Fort Collins, Colorado beginning at 5:00 pm on Friday, May 24 through Sunday, May 26 at 2:00 pm. The weekend will be filled with Speakers, Panel discussions, scavenger hunts, dancing, and “Fun in Sobriety”. Registration can be done online at: http://www.ccypaa.com/ or onsite at the Embassy Suites Loveland. Registration is only $25 in advance or $30 dollars at the door. Young People is defined as anyone with room to grow. There are no age restrictions. ( They let me attend last year in Aspen !) The conference provides an opportunity for AA members from all over Colorado to come together and celebrate the incredible joy of life in Recovery.
“Most of us feel we need look no further for Utopia. We have it right here and now. Each day my friend’s simple talk in our kitchen multiples itself in a widening circle of peace on earth and good will to men.” pg. 16 Alcoholics Anonymous
