/  Jaywalker   /   How far can we truly go?

joe-krimThis last weekend alumni, Dave K and Joe K, raced in the 16th Annual Elk Mountains Grand Traverse. The Grand Traverse is a 40-mile backcountry ski race between the towns of Crested Butte and Aspen, Colorado. Racers compete in teams of two and climb more than 7,800 vertical feet all while navigating and carrying their own gear. The race has earned a reputation as a true test of toughness for elite local, national and international athletes.

This was a great example of how the alumni have been pushing themselves to the limit in recovery and finishing this 40-mile race in under 14 hours was a great way to do so. Dave K said, “It was an amazing experience, and I wouldn’t be here to have done it without the encouragement of Jaywalker and the community.” Alumni are learning more and more how rewarding recovery can be, and how far we can truly go.
