Have you ever had that weird looking guy walk in on the middle of the conversation and spout enough knowledge to stump Albert Einstein? That’s Ben Goddard. He was one of the first alum’s that I got to know, and 18 months later he is one of my best friends and supporters. Ben works the night shift at Jaywalker Lodge but that doesn’t stop him from being active in the local community. He absolutely loves living in the mountains, and loves snowboarding even more. When he decided to take a week off of work it isn’t because he wants free time, he takes the week off in order to attend a CAC 1 class in Grand Junction.
The thing that probably stuck out the most to me about Ben is his outlook on life. He isn’t the kind of man that lets life take advantage of him, every moment that Ben spends awake he is attacking the day, with an amazing outlook on life. Ben is the quintessential recovering Addict/Alcoholic and his views on sobriety and life are well defined. He helps dozens of addicts/alcoholics daily, even if it conflicts with his own schedule. From all of us in the community, congratulations on 4 years of sobriety Ben, and keep up the good work.
