2013-09-07 08.25.34Last week the Jaywalker U students did their second day of  transformational work with Johann Aberger. For this we did a multi pitch climb up to the summit of Petit Blue, on Independence Pass. The focus of this workshop was to take our life purpose, which we developed in our first workshop, and create goals that align with that purpose. On our hike up to the face that we were going to climb we talked about setting long term goals in our lives and how to make daily goals to achieve the bigger goals. The climb was a perfect example of this; at first the climb was completely daunting. We all thought how are we going to reach the top of this? But as a life goal is not achieved in one day a mountain is not climbed in one step. We broke down the face in to more manageable pieces and we were able to reach our final goal. After the climb we talked about how this method could be used in our own lives. We need to break down our goals in to what we can do right now. This was a great opportunity for the guys to work on some goals of theirs and do so while having fun.  Our next transformational day with Johann will be October 4th where we will use our purpose and knowledge of climbing at the Colorado Mountain College High Ropes Course.
