Carrying the Message

IMG_8978The Jaywalker U students once again carried the message of recovery last week by making a trip to the Spring Valley campus of Colorado Mountain College.  They met privately with a few students to share their experience, strength, and hope. Drinking on college campuses can be a relaxing way for students to spend their weekends, but for some students it is a glimpse into a much deeper problem of addiction.  The Jaywalker U students have trudged the drinking-using-academic path in the past and failed miserably.  Today they are willing to tells others how differently it can look and how much better and richer their lives can be in recovery.  This is the second time this semester that the Jaywalker U students have reached out to other students at CMC and shared:  what it was like, what happened, and what it’s like now.
