Over the past several years we have all seen and experienced Julie’s hard work here at Jaywalker Lodge. What we didn’t see is the fact that she also balances her work, raises three teenage girls, and has been tirelessly working towards completing her degree. As of today, she has turned in her Capstone project which means, but for some paperwork and logistics, she is a college graduate! Julie, your hard work and dedication towards achieving this goal is an inspiration to me and to all of us. Thanks for being such a valuable part of our community. Hot Yoga Steve Jaywalker Lodge
Happy Birthday to our very own Chef Brian! Jaywalker clients and staff agree that Chef Brian’s meals easily top some of the best restaurants around. Brian is an incredibly kind, generous and tolerant man who puts up with staff and clients invading his territory all day—each and every day! Not only does he tolerate us, but his calm demeanor and steady personality provide the “calm amidst the storm.” Brian, we wish you a happy birthday and want to take this opportunity to thank you for all you do for all of us—staff and clients. A Spanish proverb says, “the belly rules the mind,” and thanks to you–our bellies are satisfied! Julie Ashinhurst Administrative Coordinator Jaywalker Lodge
Congratulations to our very own Rocky Willcuts, who celebrated 8 years of sobriety this past weekend! Rocky was the second person to ever graduate from Jaywalker Lodge and, as our Facilities Manager, is the man that literally holds this place together! If you find Rocky sitting down, I guarantee it won’t be for long. As a true renaissance man, he’s equally gifted at constructing new offices as he is putting the final artistic touches on one of his infamous cheesecakes. Rocky has a huge heart and does a great job at keeping all of our buildings beautiful and functional. However, if you think Rocky takes pride in the Jaywalker buildings, ask him to show you photos of his granddaughter. That’s when you’ll see the true twinkle in his eye! Congratulations, Rocky—we appreciate you! Julie Ashinhurst Administrative Coordinator
