Clinical Director: Dan Reed CACII, LADC

Dan moved to Carbondale with his wife Lois and children Andrea and Rachel in 2005. Prior to arriving in Carbondale, Dan lived in rural Wisconsin for 12 years and was employed by the Hazelden Foundation.

While at Hazelden Dan worked in both primary and extended care drug and alcohol treatment settings and served in a supervisory capacity on the extended care unit.

Dan also worked in Ireland for a year with his wife Lois in 1993-94 after completing the counselor training program at Hazelden. He remains in touch with the wonderful people he met in Ireland and worked with at Hope House in County Mayo.

Dan embraces the "Keep it Simple" approach to drug and alcohol recovery. He seeks to instill in Jaywalker clients the practice of rigorous honesty, personal responsibility, and the need to make a positive difference in the lives of others. He has spearheaded service expeditions for Jaywalker clients to Iowa to aid flood victims and to the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota to work with the impoverished Native American population.

Dan loves the Carbondale area and embraces the numerous outdoor activities available here. He is a very grateful recovering addict who has numerous years living in sobriety.
